>“Robots With Brains!” is the dream project of Michael P. Grimm, creator of “The Last Days of Roland & Cid.” The comic “The Last Days…” is currently printed in the alternative weeklies Reno News and Review and the Tucson Weekly.
Michael has been drawing comics since a very early age, inspired by the artists of mad magazine, the comics “Far Side” and “Calvin & Hobbes” and his own brother’s cartoon stylings. He dreams of one day making a living off of his comic meanderings, and buying a really big boat.
“Robots With Brains!” is a simple story about robots being stranded on the moon with a bunch of earth garbage after a global disaster on the planet Earth that forces humans to abandon it. The reason why these robots are so special is that they are powered by clone brains, found in the moon trash pile of the rich and famous. Their simple community is disturbed by the arrival of a human shuttle, carrying a family with the mission to take inventory of the moon’s contents. Once there, several circumstances lead to the family being stranded with the robots for the foreseeable future.
